Official Fortnite Discord Server – Paradise Discord Quest

The Official Fortnite Discord Server posts Quests from time to time, these are exclusive to the Discord Server Channel and cannot be found anywhere else. I am not sure if these items will ever appear in the Item Shop but I hope not as this make them a bit more exclusive. So, if you see someone wielding Chrome weapons you will now know where they came from.

What is the Official Fortnite Discord Server?

Epic have 12 official servers offering a range of languages. You can use the browser version or install the full Discord app, I would recommend installing the app.

What are the Fortnite Discord Quests?

These are special Fortnite Quests only posted to members of the Discord channel, if you’re not a member, sign up right away to take part in the quests,  meet other Fortniters and join in with the community. Joining does not cost anything and is FREE

The current Paradise Discord Quest runs from 28th Sept to 2nd Oct 2022.  These are truly for a limited time only.

What is the current Paradise Discord Quest?

The latest Discord Quest that Epic is running the Paradise Discord Quest. You have 6 task to complete and in return you get 3 items.

Let’s face it, we all want that sweet Reward 3 and a Chrome Wrap! Those guns are going to look so shinny

There are a few steps you need to complete to get your accounts linked.
  • Sign up to one of the discord servers above and authenticate via your email address to get registered.
  • While logged in to the Epic site or App, AND the Discord Server of your choice, navigate to the #Paradise-quest channel on Discord

  • Click on the ! START  button under the Quest Banner.
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to Link your Discord account to your Epic Account
Once completed you should get a message saying they are linked. You are now ready to Start the quests. Follow your progress in this channel as it will update and show your progress, it can take up to 1 hour to sync with the game servers.

How do I Complete the Paradise Discord Quest

Task 1 – Make 10 Assists

  • Assist a team mate in eliminating 10 opponents. You can complete this in any of the Duo, Trio or Squad matches.
  • More than 2 of your team need to do damage to a single opponent and then you have to make the elimination blow and send them back to the lobby.

Task 2 – Catch 15 Fish

  • Catch 15 Fish, find a fishing rod, preferably a blue one and go fishing
  • Look for rings of disturbed water with fish in them for the most catches

Task 3 – Survive 5th Storm Circle 3 Times

  • Survive the 5th Storm Circle in 3 separate matches. This can be done in Solo, Duo, Trio or Squads.  just stay alive, don’t even need to eliminate anyone
  • The 5th Sort Circle is pretty small so this one will be tough, check Fortnite Storm Cirles to help with stratagies

Task 4 – make 3000 Damage to Opponents

  • Just get stuck in and do damage to other players, simple as that

Task 5 – Heal Yourself: 300 Health Points

You can either:

  • Play some matches and Heal as needed untill you reach 300 Hp
  • or
  • Collect Chrome Splash, Bandages, Med-Mist etc and go sit in the storm edge untill you have healed for over 300 HP in one match
    • A Spot on the beach near a fire is good. Fire will help heal and Storm will be low tick to start

Task 6 – Place Top 10 in Solo 3 Times

If not a cracked player and don’t finish top 10 on a regular game, here is how to do it:

Land and loot up, you’re playing defensive so the perfect build could be:

  • Only 2 Guns, short range – SMG and a Shotgun. For defence if someone jumps you
  • Med-mist, Bandages, Shield pots, Food etc
  • Shockwave Grenade – For quick escape if you know how to use them
  • Fast Vehicle like the Fortnite Whiplash with big tires and Cow Catcher
    • Also Chrome Splash the Car if its available
    • Carry a Gas can if you find one

Once you’re ready, you dont have to collect everything, judge with the time you have, you could collect items on your travels. You’re going to:

  • Travel in the Whiplash as long as you can – keep driving about away from the fighting
  • Find a place to hide, under a bridge etc, get out of the car. Less noise and Less fuel used.
  • Stay away from frights – This is not about kills, you need to finish top 10, that’s all
  • Stay quiet as best you can – crouch when moving about inside a building
  • Keep an eye on the players left in the game, once its 9 players left go have fun and try and eliminate someone

Fortnite Chrome Splash – Chapter 3 Season 4

We now see the addition of the Fortnite Chrome Splash added in Chapter 3 Season 4. This season is going to be a lot of fun and also frustrating at the same time, the increase in sniper damage is just too much in my opinion and single shot kills on 250HP is too OP! But the Chrome Splash certainly makes up for it…

Where to Find Chrome Splash

Chrome Splash can be found on the ground all over the map, the closer you get to a “Chromed” area, like Herald’s Sanctum or Shimmering Shine the more likely you will find Chrome Splash.

It can also be found in all the types of treasure chests but the easier way is just to harvest it with your harvesting tool of choice from a Chrome Rock/Boulder. Normally a rock or boulder will drop multiple Chrome Splash’s, they will stack up to 8 in go.

There is also some NPC that you can buy Chrome Splash from:

  • Between Shifty Shafts and Coney Crossroads

How to Use a Chrome Splash

Once you have found a Chrome Splash or harvested some, it will show in your inventory just like all other Fortnite items. You can use the Chrome Splash just like a Chug Splash. However, using multiple Chrome Splashes won’t do anything extra like Chug Splashes do.

Chrome Splashes have a small splash radius when thrown on the floor and so if you stand close to something or someone, you can Chrome multiple things at once!

What can a Chrome Splash be used for?

  • Throw it at your feet to Chrome yourself
  • Throw it at another Player to Chrome them
  • Throw it on an NPC Mercenary to Chrome them
  • Throw it on a Vehicle to Chrome it
  • Throw on a Treasure Chest to upgrade it to a Chrome Chest!
  • Chrome your Reality tree to respawn fruit, just like my guide to How to Regrow Your Reality Saplings Fruit

What Happens if I Chrome a Player or NPC

If a Player becomes Chromed either by themself or a team mate then you gain some cool effects

  • You gain a slow regeneration effect
    • It’s about 1hp per second
  • Sprinting Turns you into a Chrome blob
    • You are Immune to fire as a blob
  • If you Double Jump, you Speed up
    • This is like Combat Sprint but only faster and uses more energy
  • As a Blob you will not take falling damage
    • Jump off a cliff and turn into blob form for no damage when landing
  • You can pass through walls
    • Walls don’t need to be Chromed while a blob
  • You can NOT be run over by a Vehicle
    • You basically a Chrome liquid while a blob
  • You can use on a NPC Mercenary
    • If you move out of range of your hired Merc, and they phase, they lose the effect

On the down side

  • You cannot use weapons as a blob
  • Takes 1-2 Seconds to get out of blob form and return to normal
  • Only lasts for a set period of time
  • If damaged from another player while a Blob, you return to normal

What happens if I Chrome a Vehicle

You can Chrome most of the Vehicles on the Fortnite Island. Not only do they get some Cool Decals like on the Whiplash, but they get another very cool effect, Regeneration! They do seem to feel a bit heavier to drive though.

The vehicle that’s been Chromes will also gain the same regeneration as a player does, only a little faster.  It will make some cool metal bending sounds as the panels pop back into place and will start to spark and shimmer as it repairs the car or semi. When its finished it will make the Air Impact Wrench sound.

However, it will only regenerate while you’re NOT in combat, it will not regen during a fight so if you get low HP drive away and take cover and wait for it to regen.

What Happens if I Chrome a Treasure Chest

This is such a cool idea, if you have a Chrome Splash and come across a Treasure Chest or even better an Rare or Epic Treasure Chest then Chrome it up!

Once a Chest is Chromed, then open it to receive EvoChrome Weapons!  So far, I have only seen Green EvoChrome Weapons drop no matter what the Chest rarity is like.

Logged in for a few matches and to discover the new Chapter 3 Season 4 Map Locations.  This update is going to be great!  Levels look amazing, the chrome concept is ready great idea, its gunna be good.

First few games I was just looking at the new graphics and WOW, love the chrome affect, love the new area especially the floating idea to keep away from the chrome, just amazing!

With this update we see 5 new zones that have been updated, and also the Statue in the western lagoon is now completely Chrome! The Reality Tree is looking very sad and as if its Autumn and the leaves ahve dropped from it, Summer is now over.

There has also been lots of Chrome items added to the game, so far i ahve only come across the “Chrome Splash”

How to Use a Chrome Splash Grenades?

I found some new Chrome Splash Grenades, just use them like a grenade to “chrome” a building or like a Chug Splash to Chrome yourself.

Here I throw one at a Caravan and it turned completly Chrome and then one at myslef and i turned Chrome.

What do Chrome Splash Grenades do?

Chroming a Building or yourself doesn’t just make you nice and shiny.  When chroming yourself you get a new ability, when you start to run you turn into a chrome blob and move really quickly. This only lasts for a limited time before it runs out, then you have to Chrome yourself again!

When is Chrome form you can also run though building and objects that have also been Chromed, take a while to master but make a great escape method.

End of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 – Level 181

As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 comes to an end I feel a bit sad and nervous at the same time. The season sees my return to Battle Royale games for about 7 years so this is almost like new territory for me but at the same time I’m looking forward to the new content.

The Black slime silver goo sounds cool and can bring a lot of new adventures including a new set of Fortnite Quests, Vehicles, NPC and of course Fortnite Locations

Of course, I will be updating all my main pages to cover Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, as well as the Quest and Locations Pages. I am hoping to have the time to add more content like NPC and exotic weapon locations, comment below if you would like to see anything add to the site. This all depends on what’s in the new Season and home commitments to my kids etc

I started a couple weeks into Chapter 3 Season 3, and being away for so long, I feel this is a pretty good result. Of course, my Crown Wins suck due to being out of practice and being much older now. I need to work on my close game using Shotguns etc

Fortnite Tracker

If you have not seen the Fortnite Tracker yet is well worth taking a look.  It records all your stats during games, who you eliminated, who eliminated you, what guns you used the most, Kill to Death ratios all sorts of stuff.

When you are feeling tired from a hard day of eliminating noobs in your favourite Online Shooter, what better way then some Free Online Browser, chill out games like Battleships, Chess and Minesweeper. I came across https://www.solitaire.org/ while the Fortnite servers where patching and then got hooked on Mahjong of all thing,  they have about 50 different versions of just this game, was actually hard to put this one down as I kept trying out the different types.
