End of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 – Level 181

As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 comes to an end I feel a bit sad and nervous at the same time. The season sees my return to Battle Royale games for about 7 years so this is almost like new territory for me but at the same time I’m looking forward to the new content.

The Black slime silver goo sounds cool and can bring a lot of new adventures including a new set of Fortnite Quests, Vehicles, NPC and of course Fortnite Locations

Of course, I will be updating all my main pages to cover Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, as well as the Quest and Locations Pages. I am hoping to have the time to add more content like NPC and exotic weapon locations, comment below if you would like to see anything add to the site. This all depends on what’s in the new Season and home commitments to my kids etc

I started a couple weeks into Chapter 3 Season 3, and being away for so long, I feel this is a pretty good result. Of course, my Crown Wins suck due to being out of practice and being much older now. I need to work on my close game using Shotguns etc

Fortnite Tracker

If you have not seen the Fortnite Tracker yet is well worth taking a look.  It records all your stats during games, who you eliminated, who eliminated you, what guns you used the most, Kill to Death ratios all sorts of stuff.

I finished the Season at lvl 181 and a Solo rank of  #28,720  agian, pretty good result.  Check out Fortnite Soggydan on FortniteTracker

Shadow of Phantasm Week Quests – 2 New Amazing Suppressed Guns!

Shadow of Phantasm Week Quests start today with a update to the map area to the North West and a new Quest Line. Looks like new weapons have been added that included Suppressed firearms, better known from the movies as silencers

We are also presented with some new quests (12K XP Each) around the new map area and some weapons. As i Complete these ill add some more info about the Shadow of Phantasm Week Quests

  • Collect a Suppressed SMG and a Suppressed AR in the same match
  • Remain shrouded from a single shadow bomb for 10 seconds
  • Use a Shield Bubble in 4 different matches
  • Deal damage to opponents with a suppressed SMG, AR, or Shadow Tracker

Collect a Suppressed SMG and a Suppressed AR in the same match

These are located randomly around the map, collected from chests or drops from glowing birds.

Deal damage to opponents with a suppressed SMG, AR, or Shadow Tracker

This is actually a repeatable quest, if you keep using the suppresses SMG or Assault Rifle then you will keep completing the quest and earning the extra 12K XP on each completion

Remain shrouded from a single shadow bomb for 10 seconds

These look smoke grenades, seems fitting. These also can be found lying around and in chests, they last for around 6 seconds so for them to last 10 seconds you need to take an extra step.

  • Collect a Shadow Bomb
  • Find a large hill or mountain side, the ones you can’t just walk up
  • Climb to the top
  • Activate Shadow bomb
  • If a large hill you can try sliding down in while a Shadow
  • If Hill is not large enough, try jumping while attempting to climb back up the hill
  • Keep jumping even if you hear the countdown noise finish

Use a Shield Bubble in 4 different matches

Another new item, Shield Bubble. This is great when you’re healing up and out in the open. You cant shoot out or into the shield bubble. However, other players can just walk into the bubble, so it only stops projectiles. Use this 4 times in 4 different matches, you don’t even need to use in a real situation, if you find one just activate it.

My First Fortnite Solo Crown Victory Royale (PC)

My First Fortnite Solo Crown Victory Royale, after 3days 7Hours and 34Mins of play time by achieving 12 eliminations (most of the eliminations where with a green DMR) I finally defeating SamJam777 who came second.

I am starting to pick up some new strategies to defeat other players as well as refining some old ones, but still lack those twitch reflexes from my younger days of playing Battle Royal games.

I’m still in the process of adding more content for Fortnite and have started with the basics about using the Fortnite default Keybinds and then modifying it  slightly it to match your play style.

What is the Victory Crown in Fortnite?

In Fortnite Season 3, winning the victory crown got slightly harder to achieve and so has become a little more rare.

The Victory Crown is now awarded by winning a Battle Royal Match by becoming the last person standing.  It not only signifies you have won the last Battle Royal you were in but also gives the player an XP boost for eliminating opponents, completing quests/tasks and surviving the storm.

When you start a new game and you are waiting on the holding island other players will see the glow around your character and so know you have a crown. Watch out as other players will want your crown and could look out for you jumping off the bus. I normlay keep out of sight so other player are not looking for my skin when i jump from the battle bus.

How do you know if a player has a Victory Crown in Fortnite?

If you are eliminated from the match and you drop your crown or a player drops their crown on purpose (to give to another player) it will flash on the local area map and show up in the Elimination Feed as a message. Your player’s name will also be highlighted in the message feed as a animated golden colour showing you have the crown. Watch out players will want to track you down for your crown.

When the following events happen, your character will gain a golden shooting star or sun rays affect around the crown, like in the picture below in the top left.

  • Storm Circle shrinks
  • You pick up the Crown
  • When you eliminate a player

When the crown is dropped, it also shows on the local map (150m range)

How do you Obtain a Victory Crown in Fortnite?

The Victory crown is just that, it’s a Crown awarded to a player for winning a Battle.  You can also pick crowns up from other players that have won them in previous matches and then been eliminated in your game. When eliminated from the game your player drops their crown, it is displayed on the map and in the elimination channel but won’t last for long as it de-spawns.

How do you Obtain a Crowning Achievement in Fortnite?

You need to win or pick up a crown and keep hold of it, and then win the battle to get the Crown Victory Royal and receive the Crowning Achievement emote, shown in my picture below. The emote shows off your Crowning Achievement, where your crown is placed on a red cushion and your wins are counted up.

My First Fortnite Trio Victory Royale (PC)

My 1st Trio Victory Royale in Fortnite and to be honest was a bit of a shocker as we started off as a complete shamble.  I teamed up with both of my sons and as you can image everyone wanted to be team leader and give the orders.  But after a few loses we decided over a hot chocolate and a snack that it would be best if we all took turns being team leader. So we decided that youngest would go first with me going last, not sure if that’s fair but it stopped the arguments.

Team work is even more essential than playing in Duo Victory Royale games, if you separate from your team mates and then encounter another team, unless your some Elite Fortnite cracked player then you’re going to get eliminated. Keeping together and working close is key to trios’ games and will see you win time and time again.

Try and pre-match decide on who will carry what items, there is no point in everyone caring 2x chug cans when one player can carry 6x chug cans and use when the team are close together. Also, decide on what style of weapons works well for each player so you can swap weapons so the sniper of the team gets the higher-grade sniper the team has.

Tactics are a little different than getting a Fortnite Solo Victory Royale so make sure you dont run off in pursuit of another player low on health or a legendary item you see in the distance. Let your team mates know what you have seen and move together, wait for a response from them appose to just running off and they loose you.

How to get a Trio Victory Royale in Fortnite

Now you moving into serious territory as some of the teams you will face have either been playing for some time or have some great tactics. If they have both you’re in for a tough battle.

To get a Trio Victory Royale we normally play in a triangle formation with one of my boys taking point This way he calls the opposition player he sees first and then the other 2 will engage that player, the idea is 3 on 1 will take them down faster, then we move to the 2nd and 3rd players with the team leader calling the opposition that we should attack by the skin description the player is using.  IE All on Indiana Jones   This does cause complications if the opposing team is wearing all the same skin!

Have a base set of rule and tactics for common situations, like when a plyer is knocked, someone helps them up while the 3rd player keeps watch and provide cover fire.

My First Fortnite Duo Victory Royale (PC)

My First Duo Victory Royale in Fortnite, and what made this win even sweeter was that I was playing duo’s with my youngest son who was playing on my Xbox 360 Account, hence we have the same player name. When he gets a bit older ill set him up on his own account.

Team work is essential when playing Battle Royal games and Fortnite is no exception. Always talk to each other and let the other player know what you are doing, even if it’s stopping to pick up a med kit or chug down a shield pot. If you split up in a duo’s game and come in contact with another team then it rarely ends well for you, and your team mate will soon meet the same fate while trying to get your reboot card.

This was not our first Fortnite Duo match and I am sure it won’t be the last as they are a lot of fun, but they do require good tactics, communication and a cool head. Getting over excited or blaming your team mate for a loss is no way to play and is certainly no fun for anyone. If the situation starts to get a little heated then it’s time for a break, take 15mins and grab a drink and a snack.

How to get a Duo Victory Royale in Fortnite

Once you have the basics covered and you start getting some Fortnite Solo Victory Royale wins, you can team up with a friend and start to face the area together. Duo Royale’s are a huge amount of fun as you get to laugh and cry together. If you have 2 other friends that play you can even try Trio Victory Royale

Just like playing solo there is no easy way or quick way to win at Fortnite. Like any sport it takes practice practice and a little more practice as there is always someone better than you around the corner. As long as you’re having fun then keep on practicing.

Learn the strengths and weakness of the player you are playing with; my son always takes point as he is younger and faster than I am so I hang back slightly and play the mid to long range sniper game. Works well for us but may not work for everyone.

You and your team mate should always decide on general situation tactics before games so there is no need for in-game discussion around what to do.  make a plan on what to do if one of you is knocked down, do you get them up first or heal yourself?
